Tech training follow up questions

1)I want to add storybird to my blog, and make a class story using my computer and each student can add on to the story and choose picture.
2) Animoto...I use personally but think this would be very cool to figure out how to use in class
3) edmoto

I don't have internet in my class for the students but figuring out how to do all class instruction with these tools, involving the students, with just my computer/smartboard/projector

I am going to use the smartboard notebook software for math problems!

Podcast

So I am trying to figure out a way to Podcast with the students in the classroom. It is a closed facility...but I think the students would really get a lot out of using audacity, itunes, and then actually listening to it in the classroom. I plan on doing this for Science in the brain study section.
I need audacity, and itunes or some music downloaded onto the student COW. Students will speak over music that they like about a person that has some type of neurological disorder. Check out this website about using Audacity in your classroom.

Alan November

I thought he brough up a lot of thought-provoking points. I liked the way the video was filmed in sort of a slow motion, black/white, and with regular life activities going on. (Not that I regularly: buy, boil, and eat lobster...but you get my drift). It set a mood of slowing down and taking in his points. I agree that school needs to meet up with the outside world and engage and empower students to be active participants in their education. If they are never taught to feel important than many of them fall through the cracks. There must be a better way.
